The CROSSOVER corrugated pallet is designed to make positive impacts on all aspects of the environment by consciously using materials and methods that promote good stewardship of natural resources.
Pallet Impact Facts
Fact #1: Wood pallets negatively impact forests. 40% of all hardwood that is harvested is used to build wood pallets.
CROSSOVER: Corrugated pallets have high contents of recycled materials and the same recycled material is used over and over.
Fact #2: Diesel Fuel Savings - Wood pallets weigh 30 - 75 pounds.
CROSSOVER: Our standard 48" x 40" corrugated pallet weighs 5 - 7 pounds. Based on EPA data, a 53' trailer using corrugated pallets can save 100 gallons of diesel fuel every year and it lowers carbon dioxide emissions.
Fact #3: Wood pallets have to be heat treated or chemically fumigated for export shipments.
CROSSOVER: Corrugated pallets do not harbor bug infestations and are totally exempt from all international regulations on bug treatment.
Fact#4: Wood pallets cost money to be disposed in landfills.
CROSSOVER: Corrugated pallets are an income stream when recycled. On average, you get $.25 for each pallet recycled.
