Export Requirements for Pallets
International standards now apply to shipments made on pallets to control various pests from being spread in an uncontrolled manner. Most companies regularly ship products on pallets, and these standards regulate the conditioning of wood packaging and pallets in order to control the targeted pests. Conditioning primarily comes in the form of heat treatment and chemical treatement. Both of these treatments are performed as a separate operation from the production of the typical wood pallet, increasing cost and handling.
Another alternative is to use pallets made from materials that do not require additional processing due to these standards.
Our corrugated pallet meets all the requirements laid our in these standards without additional processing. You can purchase our pallets for use within the United States or if you are exporting to other countries.
